The Company offers several levels of life insurance and AD&D (accidental death and dismemberment) insurance protection for you and your family.
Basic Coverage
You automatically receive $50,000 of Basic Life Insurance and $50,000 of AD&D Insurance. These benefits are paid entirely by the Company. Death benefits are paid to your designated beneficiary. If you’re seriously injured in an accident, all or part of your AD&D Insurance is paid to you. The amount payable depends on the nature of your injury.
Voluntary Employee Life Insurance*
In addition to basic life insurance, Harris Products Group offers its employees the opportunity to purchase additional voluntary life insurance through MetLife. Employees may purchase up to 5 times their salary in increments of $10,000 up to a maximum of $500,000. Guaranteed issue: $150,000. Employees may also purchase voluntary dependent life insurance for their spouse or child(ren). Benefits for spouse can be purchased in increments of $5,000 up to a maximum of $250,000. Guaranteed issue for spousal coverage: $50,000. Benefits for children may be purchased in increments of $2,000 up to a maximum of $10,000. Guaranteed issue for child coverage: $10,000.
